Securitas acquires security services company in Serbia

Securitas has acquired the security services company Gordon D.o.o. in Serbia. Enterprise value is estimate to MSEK 33 (MRSD 297).

Gordon has annual sales of approximately MSEK 51 (MRSD 465) and approximately 1,100 employees. A majority of Gordon's sales is in guarding services. The company has also operations in technical security, monitoring operations and fire prevention.

Securitas will with this acquisition strengthen its position in Serbia and become number two in the Serbian security services market, with approximately 2,600 employees.

The Serbian security services market is fragmented, with approximately 220 companies with in total 46,000 security employees. The security services market in Serbia is estimated to be worth MSEK 1,500 (MEUR 144).

Securitas acquires security services company in Mexico

Securitas has acquired the security services company Grupo Argos in Mexico. Enterprise value is estimated to MSEK 22 (MMXN 42).

Grupo Argos has annual sales of approximately MSEK 48 (MMXN 93) and approximately 900 employees. A majority of the operations are guarding services.

The Mexican security services market is very fragmented, with approximately 6,000 security services companies registered. Securitas is currently the second largest private security services company in the country. With this acquisition, Securitas will strengthen its position in the Mexico City area.

The acquisition is consolidated in Securitas AB as of December 1, 2009.

Securitas enters the security services market in Morocco

Securitas has agreed to acquire 75 percent of the shares in the security services company GMCE Gardiennage in Morocco. The purchase of the remaining 25 percent of the shares is agreed to take place in 2013 and will be based on the financial performance of the company until the year 2012. Enterprise value is estimated to approximately MSEK 22 (MEUR 2.1).

GMCE Gardiennage has 400 employees and annual sales of approximately MSEK 13 (MEUR 1.3). The company is providing security services all over the country, with half of the operations in the cities Casablanca and Rabat.

The security services market in Morocco is growing fast and is expected to become more regulated in the near future.


The acquisition is consolidated in Securitas AB as of December 1, 2009.

Securitas acquires security services company in the Czech Republic

Securitas has acquired the security services company Dora Security in the Czech Republic. Enterprise value is estimated to MSEK 92 (MCZK 218).

Dora Security has annual sales of approximately MSEK 156 (MCZK 370) and 1,400 employees. The company has a strong presence in Northern and Eastern Bohemia. Its main operation is in guarding, but the company has also operations in monitoring and mobile services.

Securitas is today the market leader in security services in the Czech Republic. With this acquisition, Securitas will strengthen its position in the customer segments industry, office building and government contracts.


The acquisition is consolidated in Securitas AB as of December 1, 2009.

Securitas acquires monitoring company in Spain

Securitas has acquired the monitoring company Tecniserv in Spain. With this acquisition, Securitas enters the alarm monitoring market in Spain. The enterprise value is estimated to MSEK 76 (MEUR 7).

Tecniserv has annual sales of approximately MSEK 54 (MEUR 5) and approximately 60 employees. The company operates in three areas: service of own connections portfolio, installation of new alarm systems and monitoring of third party connections. The majority of the customers are located in the Madrid area.

The acquisition will strengthen Securitas monitoring services' (also called Securitas Alert Services) operations in Europe.

The acquisition is consolidated in Securitas AB as of December 30, 2009.

Securitas has acquired the security services company Ferssa Group in France. Enterprise value is estimated to approximately MSEK 41 (MEUR 4).

Ferssa Group had in 2008 annual sales of approximately MSEK 176 (MEUR 17) and has approximately 900 employees. The customers are mainly in the retail and industry segments, mostly in the area of Paris and in Bordeaux and Lyon areas.

Securitas is today the security services market leader in France. The acquisition will strengthen Securitas position in the French retail segment.

The acquisition is consolidated in Securitas as of December 1, 2009.
